Despite rumors to the contrary, Sophia Bush is not dating yet another actor -- at least not Topher Grace.
I've been watching a lot of HGTV since coming to LA. My favorite shows are House Hunters and House Hunters International. There's also another show I like to watch called For Rent, but only because it makes me angry.
When it comes to apartments/homes, I think living in New York for the past eleven years has made me bitter because there was this whiny broad on For Rent a few nights ago who was looking at a huge place—A HUGE PLACE—and was like, "There's no place for a dining room table..."

I hated her.
Now there's some stupid lady on House Hunters who wants a townhouse with a fireplace that she can turn on with a light switch. IT HAS TO BE A LIGHT SWITCH because she doesn't want to bend down and flip a switch on the floor.
WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE?
Anyway, I know my LA update is WAY overdue (and truth be told I wrote a long one last week but for some reason it didn't save so I lost the whole thing and I was so angry that I just said, "Ah, f*ck it," and closed the computer instead of rewriting) but to give you a quick update, I AM SO HAPPY HERE. I MEAN, I'M REALLY, REALLY HAPPY. And I think living here and watching HGTV—both of these things combined—has made me realize that New York was just beating me down. I mean, the fireplace lady—yes, she's an idiot. But there's nothing wrong with wanting a dining room table. Why did I get so mad at that lady?
Since being here, at least once a day I ask myself why I have lived in New York for so long. (It's like I had Stockholm Syndrome or something.) CALIFORNIA IS AWESOME. It's like the promised land. It's sunny all the time and there are birds and flowers everywhere. I have space out here. I have a sofa on the patio out here. I HAVE A SOFA OUTSIDE. I haven't seen one rat since I've been here. But hummingbirds? THEY ZIP BY MY HEAD EVERY DAY. I am so happy.
I'm supposed to go back to New York in November, but truth be told, I'm not sure I will.

<P>Kim Kardashian and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> got chummy while watching their men perform at a <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/west_kanye/artist.jhtml">Kanye West</a>/ <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jay_z/artist.jhtml">Jay-Z</a> gig in Birmingham, England, on Friday.</P><P>The women were <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/06/23/beyonce-kim-kardashian-hang-kanye-west-show">photographed</a> giggling with one another among the <i>Watch the Throne</i> tour concertgoers. <a href="http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/kim-kardashian-dances-with-beyonce-at-kanye-west-and-jay-zs-concert-2012236#ixzz1yoZVf9sE" target="_blank">Usmagazine.com</a> reports that the ladies, dressed rather casually, had a full-on ladies' night. There had been previous reports that B was shunning K even though Kim had been scrambling to make a connection to the pop star. A source adds that it was just a rumor. "Kim and Beyoncé have always been cool," the insider said. "Beyoncé and Jay love Kim and think she's a good match for Kanye."</P><P>On Sunday night, the second half of <a href="/news/articles/1688065/kim-kardashian-oprah-kanye-west-dating.jhtml">Oprah Winfrey's interview</a> with the Kardashian family aired. In this installment Kim opened up about being friends with the rapper for years before they took a chance on love.</P><P>"We met maybe almost a decade ago. I've known him for a really long time — we've been friends for like six or seven years — so it's very comforting to have someone that knows everything about you that respects you, understands, has gone through similar things," the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star said. "I can really relate to his mother passing, he can really relate to my father passing. I mean, there's so many similarities in our life that I feel like I'm at a really happy, good space.</P><P>"I don't know why it took so long for us to kind of get together," she added. 'Beyoncé is the perfect example of what a solo artist should strive for,' 'Inside Out' singer/songwriter tells MTV News.

<P>Performing at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami in March and launching her first music video for her club single <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_VcKTkY4Vk" target="_blank">"Inside Out"</a> are just two of Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter NiRé AllDai's endeavors since first stepping out as an artist. Her journey, which today sees her selecting songs — including tracks produced by Timbaland and the Stargate camp — for her upcoming debut album, actually began as a writer for other producers and artists.</P><P>"I've always been an artist," NiRé told MTV News. "But my manager was like, 'Let's work this [writer] angle,' and it worked well because I was able to build a lot of really great relationships with dope producers who ended up helping me on my project."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="NiRé AllDai Readies Debut Album" id="vid:789067" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"I did a first single for Starshell, who was Mary J. Blige's first artist, and the single was called 'SuperLuva' [produced by Fernando Garibay]," NiRé continued. "I had a chance to write with Mary and Swizz [Beatz] and Timbaland and Dr. Dre, who's a really good friend of mine."</P><P>After getting her writing chops up, meeting the right management and finding her A&R at Capitol Records, NiRé was ready to give it her all for a chance to perform for the masses. Her fearlessness, fashion and electricity are depicted vividly in her video for "Inside Out," which was directed by <a href="http://londonalley.com/?director=hannah-lux-davis" target="_blank">Hannah Lux Davis</a>, who also directed videos for Shinedown and Anjulie, among others. NiRé is inspired by some of music's biggest, baddest stars, included among them Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a>.</P><P>"Beyoncé is the perfect example of what a solo artist should strive for," NiRé said. "If you want to be like 'boss-bitch-behavior'! When I'm in the gym and I'm tired and can't go anymore, I'm like, 'What would Beyoncé do?' She wouldn't stop."</P><P>NiRé AllDai will release her second club single, "Hella Bad," soon, with a radio single to follow. She plans to release her as-yet-untitled debut album sometime this year, and she also has her fingers crossed for another, long-awaited opportunity.</P><P>"I've been looking forward to the <i>Detox,</i> [album]' NiRé said. 'I think we want to release it together at one moment,' Jepsen explains to MTV News about the collaboration for her debut album.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jepsen_carly_rae/artist.jhtml">Carly Rae Jepsen</a> has long been teasing fans about her <a href="/news/articles/1689592/carly-rae-jepsen-collaborations-justin-bieber-redfoo.jhtml">collaboration with Justin Bieber</a>. And, if they thought they'd learn something new about the track as she inches closer to the release of her debut album this September, they'd better think again.</P><P>"The Justin song, I'm kind of sworn to secrecy on because I think we want to release it together at one moment," Jepsen explained to MTV News about the track's rollout. "But the rest of the album, I'm really excited for."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Carly Rae Jepsen Is 'Excited' About Her LMFAO Collabo 'This Kiss'" id="vid:818177" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>While she didn't want to say much about that duet, Jepsen did have more to say about her work with LMFAO's RedFoo. That song, she shared, might be her favorite on the album.</P><P>"There's one particular song that I can't wait to share called 'This Kiss' that I wrote with Matthew Koma and <a href="/news/articles/1688409/carly-rae-jepsen-lmfao-billboard-magazine.jhtml">Redfoo from LMFAO</a>," she explained. "[The sound is] definitely in my vein, but he's a really brilliant guy, and I think if anything when a collaboration happens, it's a little bit of everybody that makes it what it is. So maybe not just me and not just him, but us together."</P><P>In addition to being a bit secretive about the tracks on the record, Jepsen revealed she is also full of a number of other feelings. Admitting a range of emotions including pressure and anxiety, she said, "The main winning one is excitement. I just feel really lucky to be able to do this. I've been writing since I was 17, and to finally have an audience ready to hear some of that is really, really exciting for me."</P><P>Jepsen said her album will reflect more the woman she is now than the girl she was all those years ago. Family and friends gathered at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church for 11-year-old's funeral service Friday (July 27).

<P>Family and friends gathered privately in Atlanta on Friday (July 27) to lay to rest young Kile Glover, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher Raymond</a>'s 11-year old stepson, who died from injuries suffered in a tragic <a href="/news/articles/1689206/ushers-stepson-declared-brain-dead-after-jet-ski-accident.jhtml">Jet Ski accident</a> earlier this month.</P><P>Glover was the son of Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Foster, and Atlanta TV executive Ryan Glover. He was struck by a Jet Ski while floating in an inner tube on Atlanta's Lake Lanier on July 6.</P><P>There was no fanfare outside the Wieuca Road Baptist Church on Peachtree Road where the funeral was held, but inside, the Glover, Foster and Raymond families received tremendous amounts of support from many esteemed members of Atlanta's music and political communities. Ludacris, Jazze Pha and Phaedra Parks from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" were just some of the celebrities in attendance. The hour-long service began at 11 a.m.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Usher's Stepson Kile Glover Is Laid To Rest" id="vid:819972" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Young Kile was airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where doctors subsequently pronounced him brain-dead. "We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time," the family told CNN in a statement. "We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it's the best way we can all support him now."</P><P>Glover passed away on July 21 after being removed from <a href="/news/articles/1690157/usher-stepson-kile-glover-taken-off-life-support.jhtml">life support</a>.</P><P>Atlanta radio personality and Cash Money record artist DJ Greg Street sent out a tweet immediately after hearing the news of Glover's death, expressing his support for the family. "Lil RG is an Angel now, Ryan, Tameka, Usher & the whole Glover Family we gotta make him proud," he wrote.</P><P>The man driving the Jet Ski has been identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a friend of the family. Police have determined that no drugs were involved in the accident, and Hubbard has not been charged with a crime. Two-minute short deems Gaga's perfume 'black like the soul of fame.'

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml" target="_blank">Lady Gaga</a> bared all for the print ad for her <a href="/news/articles/1689786/lady-gaga-nude-perfume-ad.jhtml">fragrance, Fame</a>. And one day after releasing the visual for the September perfume release, the singer has given her Little Monsters a short film created about the scent.</P><P>Titled <a href="http://littlemonsters.com/video/5006d43dac460c057600041a" target="_blank">"Formulation," Gaga</a> worked with various artists on the black-and-white short. She <a href="https://twitter.com/ladygaga" target="_blank">tweeted</a> the credits, which include shout-outs to Todd Tourso, Reggie Know, Rob English and Kenneth Robin.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga's Musical Roots" id="vid:657640" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>The film opens with "From the Haus Laboratories in Paris," then cuts to hunky men — some shirtless, others wearing overalls and still others in white lab coats — filling beakers and bottles, cooking up Fame. A voiceover speaks in French as the words "The first of its kind in fluid technology" flash across the screen. Next, fans learn that Fame is the "first ever black Eau de Parfum."</P><P>As the sexy scientists continue to boil down ingredients to make the highly anticipated fragrance, the voiceover adds, "Black like the soul of fame but invisible once airborne."</P><P>The second half of the two-minute short shows quick shots of the perfume's ingredients, including "tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea ... [and] pulverized apricot." Gaga never appears in the clip, instead letting the Haus do all the heavy lifting.</P><P>In addition to giving fans the short film, Mother Monster also had some music news. She told her followers that if they want to know what her next single is, they have to ask her collaborator DJ White Shadow. While she didn't give any other details, she admitted to loving their enthusiasm, adding, "MONSTER FACT: we love watching you freak out about what the next single is."</P><P>Gaga is also expected to announce her <a href="/news/articles/1686922/lady-gaga-new-album-title.jhtml">album title in September</a>, timed with the release of her perfume.</p>

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> is slowly but surely revealing to fans what her next album will sound like. And she claims she isn't looking to sound more grown-up anytime soon.</P><P>During a concert stop in Perth, Australia, over the weekend, Gaga revealed some details about what the album, her follow-up to 2011's <i>Born This Way,</i> will sound like. Before launching into her new track "Princess Die," which may appear on the new album, she teased her Little Monsters a bit about the highly anticipated album release.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Has The Title And Concept For Her Next Album" id="vid:717202" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"It's not about you, it's about me. This whole thing is about me," she joked about <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2012/06/27/lady-gaga-debuts-new-song-at-australian-concert-princess-die/">"Princess Die"</a> in footage posted on <a href="http://www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/ladygaga/view/51012/" target="_blank">Press Party</a>. "Oh, the vanity of a singer. So I wrote this song and in a way it has a bit to do with the rest of the album ... well, I'm not gonna say anything.</P><P>"Let's just say I feel, I feel that when I wrote <i>Born This Way,</i> I demonstrated a sense of maturity," she said. "And I feel that, on the next album, there's a lack of maturity, it's a tremendous lack of maturity or sense of responsibility."</P><P>In addition to the new song and those minute details, Gaga shared with her fans that she will announce her album's title in September. It's an <a href="/news/articles/1686922/lady-gaga-new-album-title.jhtml">album title</a> she's actually had in mind for a very long while, sharing with MTV News back in December that she had already had picked it out.</P><P>"I've started writing it and I have the name for it and all the concepts are beginning to flourish and take place," she said. "I'm excited to put it out, but it's not done yet. So I'll put it out when it's done."</P><P>While Gaga is currently on her world tour, she is cooking up tracks for her new album's release while on the road. "I get a little bit of anxiety thinking about that right now. I wanna just always try to outdo ourselves, our songs. They're already incredible songs. But I feel like she's so young," her longtime producer Fernando Garibay said late last year, adding that at the time, the <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">record was in its early stages</a> and that "there's a lot of room to grow."</P><P>"The last record we made in bus stops and hotel rooms," he said. "Wherever she's at, we'll make it."</p>
