Prince Harry properly fulfilled his best man duties this past weekend, throwing big brother William a top-secret, guys-only bachelor bash nearly one month before his April 29 wedding to girlfriend of eight years Kate Middleton.
Given that it was "an entirely private event," the royal palace has no plans to elaborate on just what went down, according to People. "I can confirm that Prince William’s stag party has taken place," an official statement from the palace reads.
The guest list reportedly included 20 young men, including William's close friends from school, Thomas van Straubenzee and James Meade, as well as nightclub owner Guy Pelly and some of the van Cutsem brothers, old family friends of William and his father Prince Charles. The Daily Telegraph speculates that the party took place at a country house close to the van Cutsem family’s estate in Norfolk, England -- a change from earlier reports of a weekend of water sports.
Likewise, the princess-to-be's bachelorette parties (yes, there are two!) are also shrouded in secrecy. First up is a Dirty Dancing themed "hen party," with Kate's mother Carole in attendance, followed by a super-hush-hush bash at a London club. It's been reported that Pippa, Kate's younger sister and maid of honor, is throwing off the paparazzi by booking four possible venues for that particular party.
