I'm here! I'm here! And I saw my first gang-banger get arrested yesterday so I feel like a total Angeleno.
I'm getting ready to go to the gym (again, like a total Angeleno!) so I will update later about my run-ins with Alexander Skarsgard, Pauly Shore, and Jeremy or Jason London (I'm not sure which one it was and seeing if I could force him to do drugs to find out seemed unfair. Besides, as it turned out, he was telling the truth?)
Anyhoo, I've got a lot to tell you about gardening! (Did you know if you get dirt wet it turns into mud? Yuck.)
And bumpers! (They don't bump off anything... they go, "Scraaaaaaaatch!")
And there's probably more but, again, I have to go because I have to get to the gym!

Mother Monster's dark, high-fashion clip was directed by photographer Steven Klein.

Crunchy synths and a dance beat serve as the soundtrack to Lady Gaga's eye-catching trailer for her Fame fragrance, which hits stores in September.

In the Steven Klein-directed spot, Gaga wears latex — and in some cases nothing — as she commands a spaceship full of beefy guys. In the commercial, several images are intercut to weave together a sci-fi, Goth-style story where Gaga rises from the primordial ooze that is her black eau de parfum.

When she isn't completely drenched in the oily black liquid, she's standing alongside her army, embracing with one or two of them and looking generally fierce and glamorous in one of many space-age couture looks.

As the trailer comes to a close, little men are seen climbing a nude, oversize Gaga, a setup previously teased in an ad for the Mother Monster's first foray into the world of celebrity-endorsed perfumes.

In the latest issue of Vogue, Gaga opens up about working with beauty brand Coty to perfect her perfume, making sure that while it looks black in the bottle, it sprays on completely clear. "The fragrance is called Fame. It must be black," she said in the issue for which she graces the cover in a Marc Jacobs gown. "It must be enticing. You must want to lick and touch and feel it, but the look of it must terrify you."

In addition to the trailer, Gaga previously released a short film called "Formulation" to get fans hyped about the release. The singer is also featured in a print ad wearing an S&M latex bodysuit.

Little Monsters should also look forward to the release of her ARTPOP album. She announced the title just this month, via a tattoo, and the album is expected to drop in early 2013.

Share your thoughts on Gaga's perfume trailer in the comments!

Mother Monster takes to Twitter after being rebuked by PETA for wearing fur coats.
By Jocelyn Vena

Lady Gaga has come under fire after being photographed in various fur jackets over the past few weeks. Animal rights organization PETA is taking issue with the Mother Monster and her furry fashion choices.

In a statement released on PETA's website, VP Dan Mathews recalls a statement she gave to Ellen DeGeneres in 2010 after she wore the infamous meat dress to the VMAs that year. And from there he takes aim at the star for being what he calls "Judas" to animal rights activists everywhere.

For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, littlemonsters.com/text/50296814a...
— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) August 13, 2012

"Many of your gay fans, I among them, have long admired what you told Ellen: 'I hate fur and I don't wear fur.' I included a link because these recent photos of you in fox and rabbit and with a wolf carcass make it appear that you have amnesia," he wrote. "What happened? Are your stylists telling you that it's fake, or are you a turncoat? Many gays are animal advocates because we recognize that the same arrogance and indifference that some have toward animal suffering has at times been directed toward us personally because of our orientation.

"PETA has long participated in Pride events around the country, and just last week, we helped lead protests against Chick-fil-A. But by wearing those dumb furs in a heat wave, you're making yourself a target just like the mindless Kim Kardashian," he said, comparing her to the reality starlet who was flour-bombed by a PETA supporter earlier this year. "As we plan our fall campaigns, please tell us whether what you gracefully told Ellen was heartfelt or just a pose."

He then asked for a response from her, but he didn't have to wait too long to get it. Gaga kept her response short, sweet and tongue-in-cheek. "For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don't forget to credit the designer HERMES. Thank You! LOVE, gaga," she wrote late Monday.

Was Lady Gaga's response appropriate? My sister recently had a talk with my four-year-old nephew Jack about strangers. Here's how it went:
SISTER: Now, Jack, if a stranger says, "Come here, I want to show you something," what do you do?
JACK: I turn around and run!
SISTER: If a stranger says, "Come here, I want to give you some candy," what do you do?
JACK: I turn around and run!
SISTER: If a stranger says, "Come here, I want to show you my puppy," what do you do?
JACK: Oh, I love puppies...

Rebel Wilson is known for her comedy, not her singing voice. But when she's asked to belt out a tune, she gives it all she's got! The Australian comic, who plays an a cappella group star in the new film Pitch Perfect, had to prove she could sing for the audition. On Monday, Wilson re-created that career-changing moment for Jay Leno on The Tonight Show. Watch her rendition of Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory" below!
The movie tie-in edition of "20 Times a Lady"—now called "What's Your Number?"—is now available wherever fine books are sold!
To celebrate its publication, a few of my favorite readers came up with these great reviews...
"What's Your Number? is like Harry Potter minus the wizards, wands, and Lord Voldemort." —Michelle Bell
"What's Your Number? is like Gone With the Wind except with less hoop skirts and poverty and more beaus..." —Karen Meyer
"What's Your Number? is like To Kill a Mockingbird without all the racism and children." —Julie Stone
Thanks ladies!

Seeing praise for his 'Snuggie Version' tribute on B's website was 'the best moment of my life,' 16-year-old superfan tells MTV News.
By Cory Midgarden

When Ton Do-Nguyen uploaded his shot-for-shot recreation of Beyoncé's "Countdown" video to the Web, he didn't expect it to be seen by anyone other than his friends and family. But with more than 500,000 views on YouTube and the stamp of approval from the Queen B herself, the junior class president from Pennsylvania has quickly learned the power of the Internet.

"I'm going on her website, and I just start screaming," Ton said about reading a post in which Beyoncé praises his "Snuggie Version," calling it "brilliant."

"That was literally the best moment of my life — hands down," the 16-year-old told MTV News. "I was scared she would get mad. ... When she posted it on her wall and everything, it was so positive."

It's not just the superstar singing Ton's praises either: Everyone from Perez Hilton to "Glee" star Harry Shum Jr. are bowing down to the Snuggie-clad tribute, with the same question on everybody's mind: How the heck did he do it?

"For each specific part, I would just look on YouTube and try and get it down to a T in front of my mirror and go off and film it," Ton explained. "It's so tiring, and do you know what it's like to be in a Snuggie in the middle of July?"

And while the sleeved blanket was originally used merely as a fashion statement to set the two clips apart, Ton revealed that the body-length fleece ended up serving useful in the production as well: "I used my Snuggie as a blue screen and wore a blue shirt and then I just did my thing."

What do you think of Ton Do-Nguyen's recreation of "Countdown"? Tell us in the comments below!
